Nineteen is a stylish, 7 bedroom guest house in a tastefully converted 200 year old Victorian town house in Brighton’s Kemp Town area, just a pebble’s throw from the beach and the pier.
We had a significant refurbishment in 2014 which included double glazed sash windows throughout (meeting the requirements of the Conservation Area we are in), dark oak flooring, completely refurbished ensuites, boosted Wi-Fi coverage, bluetooth speakers and new 'smart' HDTVs in all bedrooms. Guests can expect contemporary decor and lots of modern art from Brighton based artists.
We have our own Gin Den which is located in the lower ground floor level of the property and is stocked with over a dozen of well known and artisan gins. Real gin aficionados can also go all the way and stay in our unique Brighton Gin Room. This room has been designed in partnership with local gin distiller 'Brighton Gin' and includes a brilliant mural of the Brighton cityscape which has been created by local artist Hizze Fletcher. The room also includes Brighton Gin confectionary and a complimentary Brighton Gin & tonic on arrival.
Location wise, our road, Broad Street, isn't a main thoroughfare, but it is moments away from the beach, myriad of bars, clubs and restaurants and just 3 minutes walk from the famous Lanes and the stunning Royal Pavilion.
Our philosophy is to offer our guests the highest standards of care and service, including our famous continental breakfast, full concierge support and planning for your stay. We want you to feel special, valued and very much at home here. As Time Out wrote, "It's like staying at a (very stylish) mate's house". You will not feel like you're just a room number..
Please explore our website to find out all about our rooms and our services, and some of the ways we do things a little differently at Nineteen. If you would like to call us to enquire about availability and prices, please feel free. Our line is open from 10am - 8pm daily.
Please note: That bookings for the weekend of 3rd and 4th August fall on the annual Pride festival. As the guest house sits in the heart of the street party zone and there will be noise on the Saturday evening particularly. We are well placed for those wishing to get out and enjoy the party, but we won't be suitable for guests wishing for a quiet weekend away. With this in mind, we are also unable to accept children over this weekend period.
